Exciting News – My Book WILDFIRE Wins Prestigious Award!
I feel tremendously blessed and honored to have won the Faith, Hope, and Love Reader’s Choice Award in the Romantic Suspense category for my book WILDFIRE. It’s especially important to me because my book highlights the bravery of our wildland firefighters and the challenges they face to protect people and our natural resources. https://amzn.to/2KhK7Ec
The Story Behind the Story of My Book Wildfire
Did you know that June is one of the worst months for wildfires in Rocky Mountain National park? I learned that from my research for my book Wildfire. In my blog today, I share my personal history with fires which helped inspire the themes in the story. https://mountainbrookink.com/2019/06/06/gayla-k-hiss-the-story-behind-the-story-of-wildfire/
My book WILDFIRE is a Finalist in the 2019 Faith, Hope and Love Reader’s Choice Award Contest!
I’m so thrilled and thankful for this great honor! WILDFIRE is my third book and was inspired by our brave firefighters. https://amzn.to/2KhK7Ec

Remembering Cades Cove
I’ve been remembering last year around this time when we drove through Cades Cove in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We’d intended to stay in Gatlinburg for a week so I could do research for my second book, Dangerous Ground, but the terrible wildfires destroyed the place we had planned to stay. Anyway, I did get this picture of the sign into Cades Cove as a momento 🙂
Has this ever happened to you? Then my blog may encourage you!
In my blog today, I share some valuable lessons I learned from our cross-country road trip. [Guest Post] Our Summer RV Blowout
